Officers of the Maharashtra police force in Mumbai, India will visit Israel, China, the U.S. and the U.K. and study the functioning of the local policing system. The visit is part of efforts to prepare for incidents like the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Police officials will get maximum exposure so that they can make improvements in the functioning of their departments, its administration, crime detection methods and modern weapons, India’s Home Minister Jayant Patil told PTI. "We are sending four teams of city police officers to Israel, China, U.S. and England to study the police functioning in those countries and bring improvements back here," he said.
