(IsraelNN.com) The committee to select judges is scheduled to consider three nominees for the Supreme Court on Friday. Doubts have been raised about the positions being filled on Friday because of the requirement that a nominee get seven votes on the nine-member committee, which has a majority from the political right for the first time in years.

Justice Minister Ya'akov Ne'eman - who heads the committe - and Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch agree on the nomination of Judges Uzi Fogelman and Yosef Elon.

At the beginning of the week, committee member Gilad Erdan took back his support for District Judge Moshe Drori after reviewing a controversial decision of his. Another member of the committee must sign on Judge Drori's nomination to even allow it to forward.

Other district judges who were nominated with Drori are Noam Solberg and Yishayahu Schneller. Also nominated was Professor Dov Frimmer.
