Passenger Compensated by Egged for Lost Tefillin Reported: 01:34 AM - Jul/02/09
(IsraelNN.com) A resident of Ashdod who lost his tefillin in the undercarriage of an Egged bus was reimbursed 6,400 shekels for his loss. According to Ladaat.net, the man realized his bag was missing when he got off the bus. The driver agreed to return to various stops to look for it, but they were unable to locate the tefillin. Egged rejected a letter from them man asking for compensation, arguing that bags in the under-carriage are the passengers’ responsibility and something valuable like tefillin should be held by the passenger in their seats. The man responded by getting a lawyer who sent letters to Egged demonstrating that the company is legally responsible for all bags in the under-carriage just like they are responsible for the passengers themselves. Egged agreed to compensate the man for his loss. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
