Israel's Magal Security Systems said on Wednesday that it won several security contracts in May for a total of $8.5 million. The deals include security at two airports and several nuclear power plants in South-East Asia, renewing border gate systems in Israel, and expanding an existing security system deal in Eastern Europe.

Most of the contracts are for projects that are delivered ready to operate. The company said it expects the orders to be supplied by the end of 2009. Magal specializes in the development of smart barriers and fences, fence mounted detectors, virtual gates, buried and concealed detection systems, and sophisticated protection packages for sub-surface intrusion.
