The convoy of trucks bombed six months ago in eastern Sudan, allegedly by Israel, was carrying Iranian weapons intended for Hamas, confirmed senior advisor to the Sudanese president Ghazi Salah Al-Din. The comments came during a June 27 conference that was reported in the Sudanese paper Al-Sahafa and translated by MEMRI.
Al-Din accused Israel of being behind the attack, but admitted that Sudan had no means to confirm exactly how it was carried out.
