Rivlin: Israel Open to Dialogue with Assad

(IsraelNN.com) Russian Ambassador to Israel Pyotr Stegny was in the Knesset Tuesday and met with Speaker Reuven Rivlin (Likud) in his office. Rivlin told Stegny that Israel is ready to conduct a dialogue with Syrian President Bashar Assad.
He added, however, that “Israel could not allow itself to negotiate with a terror-supporting country that has extensive connections with terror groups.”
