Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with Ministers Ehud Barak, Avigdor Lieberman, Benny Begin, Dan Meridor, and Moshe Yaalon on Monday morning before Barak is expected to leave for Washington and a meeting with U.S. envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell. The group is finalizing Israel’s policy with regard to construction in Judea and Samaria.
Reports indicated that Barak may offer the U.S. a compromise whereby current building projects would continue, and that would possibly include a temporary construction freeze. Another possible plan is that only limited building would be allowed.
