The Guardian Council began a partial recount of vote’s from Iran’s Presidential elections on Sunday. According to state television Al-Alam, the council is recounting 10 percent of the votes in random districts throughout the country.
Reformist candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi has rejected the idea of a recount and says new elections are in order. The council, however, is expected to announce incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s official victory shortly.
