A woman was killed and three people - including a Lebanese soldier - were wounded Sunday night in exchanges of gunfire between supporters of Prime Minister-designate Saad Al-Hariri and those of Hizbullah, according to the Al-Arabiya television network. It's the first outbreak of violence since the recent elections.
The soldier was part of a force sent to calm tensions when demonstrations broke out in spite of Al-Hariri's meeting with Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah on Friday, after which the two said discussions would continue. Hizbullah is seeking veto power in the Lebanese cabinet.
