An estimated three thousand people demonstrated Sunday night in the streets of Tehran against the announced results of Iran's recent presidential elections, according to eyewitnesses cited by the Associated Press. The police fired tear gas at the demonstrators.

Election officials say that there were not enough irregularities to justify a complete recount or nullification of the results. Challenger Mir-Hossein Mousavi on Sunday rejected a partial recount.
