Member of Knesset Michael Ben-Ari is circulating a letter these days, calling for fellow MK's to get Justice Minister Ya'akov Ne'eman to recommend suspension of Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch from the committee to select judges. Dr. Ben-Ari explains that the initiative follows what he calls "an unprecedented agressive campaign" by Beinisch's office after four judges who wear the knitted kippah of the national-religious camp were nominated to the High Court.

The National Union party lawmaker says Beinisch associates attacked a number of candidates on the list, principally Judge Moshe Drori. Ben-Ari's letter said it was too amazing to believe that less than 24 hours after Drori's candidacy was announced, ten angry letters of complaint against Drori and some of his decisions were received at Beinisch's office.
