The army continued to fight terrorism in Judea and Samaria Sunday night, arresting 12 terrorists in several cities, including Hevron where the Palestinian Authority has deployed armed special forces that are designated to enforce law and order. Military officials have said that the recent decline in terrorism is a result of continuing IDF efforts and that the PA forces target criminals rather than terrorists plotting against Israel.
The overnight operations were conducted in in the Judean cities of Bethlehem and Hevron as well as in the Samarian city of Kalkilya, adjacent to Kfar Saba. There were no injuries, and no serious resistance was reported.
