The Maltese embassy in Israel will be officially inaugurated today in a ceremony featuring Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta Dr. Tonio Borg. The Maltese embassy in Israel opened in October 2008 and is headed by Ambassador Abraham Borg.
Dr. Borg will meet President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem and visit the Yad Vashem Memorial Museum. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement welcoming the opening of the embassy, saying it contributed to the strengthening of the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
