    Fayyad Plans Jerusalem Speech

Following Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's policy speech at Bar Ilan University, Palestinian Authority officials announced that PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad would give a policy speech as well. Fayyad plans to speak on Monday at Al Quds University, located in the Abu Dis neighborhood of Jerusalem.

In his speech, Netanyahu accepted the idea of a PA-led Arab state in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, but also laid out criteria for the PA to meet prior to founding such a state. Fayyad is expected to argue that the PA has met its commitments, and to demand that Israel remove Jewish communities from Judea and Samaria.

Netanyahu also declared in his speech that Jerusalem would remain Israel's undivided capital, a statement that may have influenced Fayyad's choice of venues.
