British Airways summer flight fares between Israel and London are 29-35 percent lower than last year, according to its published fare schedule released today. "In contrast to the trend across the travel industry of raising fares in the summer, and despite fuel prices which are again building up strength, we decided specifically in the current summer season to lower our set price levels to London,” said British Airways Israel commercial manager Yael Katan.
A ticket to London in tourist class starts at $497, a 36 percent drop compared with the summer of 2008 when prices started at $779. A business class ticket starts at $1,410, about 35 percent lower than last summer’s price of $2,186. Fares include taxes and fees and are effective immediately.
