U.S. President George W. Bush shares with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the unwanted status of being among the least trusted world leaders, according to a survey carried out by WorldPublicOpinion.com. The poll covered 20 countries and asked about foreign leaders. At the bottom of the list was Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, with 18 percent of the respondents having confidence in him. Next above him were Ahmadinejad with 22 percent and President Bush, with 23 percent.

Bush has signed a bill including an amendment that forbids American aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) until it accepts previous agreements and commits itself to non-violence. The new law requires the PA to demonstrate "its commitment to the principles of non-violence, the recognition of Israel, and the acceptance of previous agreements and obligations" before it can receive American aid.
