The U.S. administration said Monday that State Department official Dennis Ross will be transferred to the White House and receive an expanded portfolio on the U.S.’s Iran policy. Officials say that the Obama administration has found Iran to be a complicated issue affecting a wide variety of questions in the Middle East.
Ross is well known in Israel for having orchestrated U.S. policy on the Israeli-Palestinian Authority peace process during the Clinton administration.
