At the end of the peace process and negotiations there will be two states for two people, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said today at a ceremony in a senior citizens center. “Even President Bush’s road map plan that was supported by the Sharon government calls for a Palestinian state,” said Barak.
He went on to say that making a Palestinian Authority state will enable a secure, democratic Jewish state. Barak insisted that all negotiations need to take into account Israel’s security needs. “Throughout the process, we need to insure Israel’s security interests with secure, defensible borders."
