An attempt to capture Israeli soldiers patrolling the Gaza border was thwarted Monday morning. IDF troops identified several armed terrorists several yards from a security fence along Gaza. The incident occurred on a routine patrol by IDF troops, south of the Karni Crossing. The force opened fire towards the terrorists, who returned fire.
No soldiers were injured. The incident is being investigated. According to PA sources, at least four Gaza men were killed. Voice of Israel government radio reports that between six and ten terrorists approached the security fence in an attempt to capture Israeli soldiers.
