Gaza Arabs are planning 936 lawsuits against the IDF for deaths, injuries and damages suffered during Operation Cast Lead, according to the German weekly Der Spiegel. The suits will be filed by the Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Human Rights.

The alleged incidents took place in December 2008 and January 2009, as the IDF battled Hamas following years of rocket attacks on Israeli civilians. An internal IDF investigation has concluded that soldiers did not deliberately target civilians, and did what they could to avoid harming innocents.
