The dedication of a Torah scroll in the honor of the late Rabbi Avraham Shapira will take place Tuesday night in Jerusalem starting at 6:00 p.m. Rabbi Shapira passed away at the age of 96 in 2007 and was considered to be the spiritual leader of the National Religious public.
The dedication begins at 6:00 p.m. at the house of the late Rabbi on Sirkus street in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem. A parade from the Rabbi’s house to the Merkaz Harav Yeshiva he formerly led begins at 7:30 p.m.
