Tony Blair said Monday that the month of June would be "critical" to efforts to resolve the Israeli-Arab conflict. The envoy for the Quartet of Middle East peace-broker nations told the foreign affairs committee of the British House of Commons he expected the peace process to find "a way forward" in the next few weeks.
The former prime minister claimed success in assisting development in the Palestinian Authority since taking up his role in summer 2007, and expressed hope that the commitment to peace from United States president, Barack Obama, the Israeli government and the Arab world could bear fruit.
