MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari said after being arrested by border police on Monday that a police officer beat him several times and he was forced to travel to the Beilinson Hospital for medical treatment. Ben-Ari said that officer Tal Yamini hit him in the face and kicked him in the stomach, even after he identified himself as a member of the Knesset.
Ben-Ari said that he arrived at the Yitzhar junction and saw that several youth were arrested with their hands tied behind their backs. He wanted to know what they had done, so he got into the police vehicle to ask them what had happened. At that point the border police officer began to attack him.
