Ministers, Members of Knesset and other officials will meet Tuesday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the office of Likud MK Tzipi Hotobeli to discuss alternatives to the widely accepted “two state solution” plan, which calls for the establishment of a Palestinian Authority state in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Hotobeli explained that the “two-state solution” has failed and the political Right must present a viable alternative “so the world will know that the two-state solution is not inevitable.”
Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Yaalon and Interior Minister Eli Yishai plan to present diplomatic plans, as do MK Robert Ilatov of Yisrael Beiteinu and former Yesha (Judea and Samaria) Council director-general Adi Mintz. Also expected to attend is MK Yuli Tamir of Labor. Several days ago, Tamir and three other Labor MKs told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that he has no choice but to create a PA state. "We wanted the Left to come,” Hotobeli said in response to the Labor MK's plan to attend. “We wanted it to be a debate and not a monologue.”
