Police arrested five demonstrators Sunday night at the main intersection to Yitzhar, a Samarian town of over 130 families, located near Shechem. Yitzhar’s community spokesman Yigal Amitai related that the protest followed an evening prayer service, which was conducted at the intersection. Several residents protested against the government’s intention to uproot expanded communities within Judea and Samaria.
During the demonstration, traffic in the intersection was blocked. Police arrested five demonstrators.
