Egyptian authorities have arrested seven people suspected of playing a role in the bombing of a Cairo market. Authorities believe the seven are members of Al-Qaeda who received their training in Gaza.
The terror cell, which called itself “The Palestinian Islamic Army,” was led by two Egyptians who have not yet been apprehended. Those arrested include two Egyptians, two Palestinian Authority Arabs, and three Muslim immigrants who held citizenship in European countries.
One of the detainees has confessed, according to an Egyptian official quoted by the Associated Press. The detainees planned to attack other Egyptian tourist sites, he added.
