CIA Chief Leon Panetta warned Israel not to attack Iran alone, according to an interview published with him in the A-sharq Al-awest Arab newspaper. The political quarterly Global Viewpoint also published Tuesday remarks by Panetta that Israel attacking Iran alone would case “big trouble”.
“It’s clear that Israel is very worried by Iran, but Netanyahu understands that it is best for him to act together with the U.S.,” Panetta said. On the other hand he pointed out that “the last thing we want is a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.”
