A Perth, Australia man who allegedly posted anti-Semitic videos on the website YouTube has been arrested by police and charged with attempting to incite racial animosity and racial harassment. He faces a maximum penalty of 14 years in jail. According to the report in Australia's Herald Sun, the man is the second person to be charged under racial vilification laws introduced in the country four years ago.
Officers from the intelligence investigation unit arrested the man after he posting a video of himself making anti-Semitic comments in front of Perth's Bell Tower and a South Perth supermarket. In the supermarket video, viewers see a demonstration by Friends of Palestine outside an IGA supermarket against their selling Israeli jaffa oranges. The man tells viewers that he is hoping to find some Jews at the scene. He then finds two young Jewish men and begins harassing them and creating a hostile situation.
