Israeli troops caught two men who had infiltrated from Egypt as they tried to return to the Sinai peninsula on Sunday night. The soldiers spotted the Egyptians riding on all-terrain vehicles and a number of shots were fired as they chased the infiltrators to the Eshkol area near Gaza.

One of the infiltrators was hit by the fire and was transferred to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva with moderate wounds. The other was turned over to security services for questioning. The infiltrators were in possession of cellular phones and large sums of money.
