Police said the suspect in a shooting that killed a Jewish Wesleyan University student Wednesday may be targeting the university and the Jewish community of Middletown, Connecticut, according to the Associated Press. A statement by the university said “He expressed threats in his personal journals toward Wesleyan and/or its Jewish students."
Authorities say they they've launched a nationwide manhunt for 29-year-old Stephen Morgan, a former boyfriend of Johanna Justin-Jinich in the bookstore where she worked. They have released a surveillance photo taken inside the bookstore of a thin, bearded man they believe is Morgan. University officials are instructing students, faculty and staff to stay home while the suspect in a fatal shooting on campus is on the loose.
