International Mideast envoy Tony Blair announced today that a new strategy for Israel-Palestinian Authority talks was in the process of being drafted and would soon be announced. "We're about to get a new framework," Blair said. He called for people to be “hopeful” because of the high level of cooperation between the international community.
Blair told reporters that following separate White House meetings this month with Israeli, Palestinian and Egyptian leaders the Quartet - U.S., the United Nations, the European Union and Russia – will convene in Washington to discuss and present the new strategy.
