Interior Minister Eli Yishai responded to reports of a new Arab peace initiative with Israel on Wednesday by saying that the Arab states cannot guarantee Israel’s security from Hamas in Gaza. Earlier in the morning, Gazan terrorists fired three mortar shells at Israel.

Yishai said, “No diplomatic process will work until we have complete silence from Gaza.” He added that “talking about peace processes when mortars are falling is insulting to Israel.”
