A UN team set to investigate human rights abuses in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead began organizing its trip to the region on Monday in Geneva. The UN Human Rights Council established the investigative team after the conflict ended.
Israel has agreed to cooperate with the team, something it hasn’t done in the past. Team leader Richard Goldstone has promised that the investigation will be fair and impartial.
