A fire broke out in Haifa on Monday afternoon, after a long day of hot temperatures and high winds in Israel that lead to the outbreak of many fires. The Haifa blaze threatened houses in the area but no one was injured.
Winds also knocked down electric poles leading to power outages in many places. In addition, heavy haze disrupted air traffic in the country’s airports.
