An Arab youth, apparently sent by terrorists to test the alertness of Israeli troops, was shot and lightly wounded by troops along the Gaza security fence near Miflasim late Sunday evening. The troops spotted the youth and identified his suspicious activity as that of a terrorist. They then executed procedures for arresting a suspect, and when the boy did not stop, they shot at him, hitting him in the leg.
The youth was treated at the scene and transferred to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon for further treatment.
