An Israeli delegation managed to prevent the policy committee of the European Council in Strasbourg, France from passing an anti-Israeli motion on Monday, according to News One. The motion would have recommended that the council condemn Israel for the lack of process in diplomatic talks and demanded that Hamas be included in negotiations

Through the intervention of the delegation, headed by Likud MK Tzipi Hotovely and Yochanan Plasner of Kadima, it was determined that the committee send an envoy to Israel to study what's really going on and report back to the committee before it makes its decision.
