Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin told bereaved families on Monday afternoon that on Remembrance Day for members of the defense establishment and terror victims, the State of Israel asks to join their daily contact with their loved ones for just a moment, to spend time with them in the shadow of their private, intimate memory and to shed tears with them.
Speaking at a state ceremony at Jerusalem's Ammunition Hill, Rivlin said that's the least that can be done and called for deep introspection, asking the question are we doing all we can to be worthy of the freedom which has been paid for and is being paid for daily by the fallen.
