Shortly before 9 pm, two suspicious figures were seen next to the security fence of the Samarian Jewish community of Itamar. Army forces that were summoned to the scene found an improvised explosive device and a burning tire.
The troops continued to look for the figures. Military sources believe the terrorists intended to block a nearby road and hurl the explosive at a passing vehicle.
