U.S. President Barack Obama invited Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to the White House on Tuesday, but said he would give Netanyahu more time to formulate Israel’s diplomatic policy. Obama’s comments came after meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The U.S. President also said he expects Israel and the Palestinian Authority to take steps towards reaching an agreement. “At some point steps have to be taken so that people can see progress on the ground,” he said.
