Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will arrive in Israel on Wednesday for a three-day official visit as part of a regional tour. Jiechi will meet Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and other officials, the Israeli foreign ministry said in a statement.
Talks will focus on diplomatic, economic and cultural relations between the two states. “Regional and international issues such as Iran’s nuclear programme and developments in Israeli-Palestinian Authority relations will also be discussed,” the statement said. Israel and China established diplomatic relations in 1992. Annual trade stands at seven billion dollars.
