Military Intelligence Chief General Amos Yadlin told the cabinet Monday that Iran’s nuclear program can be stopped in light of the economic crisis country. “Iran has a serious economic problem including high inflation and unemployment,” he explained. At the same time he warned that for the time being, Iran is continuing to enrich uranium towards the production of a nuclear weapon.
In addition, Yadlin said that both Hizbullah and Hamas have been deterred by Israel’s force and would prefer not to enter into another conflict. He added that Hamas is interested in coming to an agreement with either Israel or the Palestinian Authority, while Hizbullah is occupied with the elections in Lebanon.
