A 17 year old Bedouin youth admitted Monday to placing concrete barriers on train tracks between Be’er Sheva and Dimona on Sunday. An alert conductor managed to stop his train only seconds before it would have crashed into the barriers.

The police emphasized that the youth did not place the barriers there as a terrorist attack but rather had criminal motives.
