Talks on the release of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit will continue at the end of the month, according to Arab sources cited by the al-Manar website, associated with Hizbullah. The sources say resumption of the talks was prompted by pressure from Egypt, which has been mediating the talks and France, where Shalit holds citizenship.

The sources say the talks will pick up from the point where negotiations ended between Shalit's Hamas captors and government of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
