Security forces in Israel prepared for Passover by increasing their readiness level throughout the country. In addition, a curfew was placed on Arab residents of Judea and Samaria for the duration of the holiday.
The police put extra forces in place in eastern Jerusalem. The Anti-Terrorism Agency has also warned Israelis not to travel to Sinai, out of fear of a terrorist attack attempting to kidnap Israelis to Gaza.
