IDF troops on Saturday killed two terrorists who were seen planting explosives at the Gaza border. The two were caught in the act by troops who were alerted when an alarm on the border fence went off. There were no injuries to IDF troops, and the explosive device was neutralized.
Also Saturday, police and IDF troops broke up a riot by 40 Arabs and radical leftists near the yishuv of Karmei Tzur. The rioters began gathering on agricultural areas belonging to the yishuv, and troops arrived quickly, presenting the group declaring the area a closed military zone, and demanded that they leave. The group refused to leave, and police, using anti-riot tactics, removed them from the area. Two of the rioters were arrested.
