Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu is completing the issuing of ministerial posts to his Likud party members. The new Cabinet will include Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Benny Begin, Dan Meridor, Binyamin (Fuad) Ben-Eliezer, and Moshe (Bogie) Yaalon. There still remains a possibility that Silvan Shalom will also become a Cabinet member.

Senior aides close to Netanyahu praised the quality of the Cabinet members, calling them the best people in Israel for the job. “A concentration of experience, seriousness, and depth: The State should be blessed by them,” an aide stated.
