The Ministry of Immigration and Absorption has opened up a campaign to place hundreds of candidates for conversion with religious families for the Passover Seder. The ministry explained that the experience of the being with families during the recital of the Exodus from Egypt helps give the converts strength and support during their learning of Judaism.

The significance of being with religious families was underscored recently with the revelation that Christian missionaries have published a Seder Hagaddah. The Outreach Judaism organization has called on mainstream booksellers to remove the missionary version of the Hagaddah from the Judaism sections of online and conventional bookstores.
