An exercise simulating a toxicological incident is scheduled between 11:30 am and 1 pm Tuesday at the Assaf Haropheh medical center near Ben-Gurion International Airport. The staff will deal with an incident in which people are exposed to a poisonous gas or liquid. While the exercise will involve the hospital's urgent treatment center, the medical center's emergency room will function as normal.
Thirty doctors and medical staffers have come from Italy to watch the exercise and learn how Israeli hospitals deal with this type of emergency.
