Housing Minister Zeev Boim called on Tuesday morning for cancellation of the cabinet meeting scheduled for Tuesday afternoon to discuss the latest negotiations to free soldier Gilad Shalit from Hamas captivity. Boim said disclosure of the list of terrorists Hamas wants freed in exchange for Shalit could jeopardize any release deal because it would create "an impossible starting point" for continuing negotiations.
Envoy Ofer Dekel is scheduled to brief the cabinet on the talks and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is expected to explain why Hamas's terms are unacceptable.
