European Union policy advisor Javier Solana warned Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu Sunday that if he does not accept the “two-state solution,” the EU will relate to the government differently from today. Solana and other European officials met with foreign ministers of the Palestinian Authority and Egypt on the possibility of bringing together the rival Fatah and Hamas parties.
The PA has stated that a Netanyahu government without the acceptance of a new Arab state within Israel’s borders will be considered “anti-peace’ and that it will not negotiate with it.
